Privacy & Cookie Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
Gados IT Solutions (“GITS”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through gadositsolutions.com (the “Website”), how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors around the world.
1. Who we are
Gados IT Solutions is an information technology company based in Kumasi, Ghana. We provide website development and management, software development, IT consultancy, data management and analytics, computer and network maintenance, shared hosting, and software products (ChurchSave, getHealthy, ShopHub POS and an HR & Payroll System). For the personal information described in this policy, we are the data controller. Contact details are in section 14.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and message when you email us, use the contact form, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
- Newsletter: your email address and subscription status when you subscribe to updates. We send the address to Sender.net to manage and deliver the subscription.
- Quotes, demos and orders: organisation details and requirements you share when requesting a quote, a product demo or a hosting package.
- Client accounts: account, billing and contact details you provide when you register or sign in on our client portal (billing.gadositsolutions.com).
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, operating system, pages viewed, referring page and date and time of visit, typically recorded in server logs for security and reliability.
- The strictly necessary browser storage that remembers your consent choice; optional tracking storage is not currently used.
Information from third parties
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, profile name and message content. Meta’s own privacy policy applies to its service.
- Google Fonts: our pages load typefaces from Google, which receives technical connection details such as your IP address and browser details to deliver font files, whether or not you accept optional cookies.
- Sender.net: if you subscribe to our newsletter, Sender.net receives your email address and subscription status to manage and deliver it.
- Social links: links to our Instagram and Twitter pages take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy practices.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Website, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, provide demos and deliver services you request.
- To set up and manage client accounts, hosting packages and billing.
- To send newsletters or service updates where you have subscribed, with an unsubscribe option in each message.
- To operate, secure and improve the Website, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)
- Consent for optional cookies or similar technologies if introduced, and for newsletters. You can change your cookie choice using Cookie Settings and unsubscribe from newsletters at any time.
- Contract where processing is needed to provide a service or take steps at your request before a contract.
- Legitimate interests in running and securing our business and responding to enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information by law.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
When you choose “Accept all”, “Reject all” or “Customise”, we store your choice in a first-party gits_consent cookie. If cookies are unavailable, the site uses the same key in your browser’s local storage. Either browser copy is valid for up to 12 months; after that, the site asks you to choose again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using , available on every page. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps marketing consent off. The site currently has no analytics or advertising trackers and does not set optional analytics or marketing cookies. Choosing those categories does not activate a tracker that is not installed.
To document a choice, the site also sends its categories and consent-version number to our server, which adds a server timestamp and stores the record in a protected file. This separate audit record does not contain your name, email address or IP address, so it documents an anonymous browser choice and cannot by itself identify which person made it. Records older than 12 months are removed the next time a new choice is recorded. The browser cookie and local-storage entry are separate from this server-side record.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. That request is made whether or not you accept optional cookie categories; Google may receive technical connection information such as your IP address and browser details. We do not use this font request for analytics or advertising.
| Category | Purpose | Storage in use | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembering your cookie choice | gits_consent first-party cookie, with localStorage fallback | Up to 12 months |
| Preferences | Remember settings you choose | None currently set | n/a |
| Analytics | Measure visits and improve the Website | None currently set | n/a |
| Marketing | Measure campaigns and show relevant promotions | None currently set | n/a |
If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, they will load only after you opt in and this table will be updated. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may ask you to set your choice again.
6. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- service providers who help us run the Website and our services, such as hosting, email and messaging providers; Sender.net manages newsletter subscriptions and delivery;
- professional advisers, regulators, courts or law enforcement where required by law;
- a successor organisation if our business is reorganised or sold, with notice where required.
7. International transfers
We are based in Ghana and our providers may be located in other countries, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence. Google Fonts and Sender.net, for example, may process technical connection information or subscriber information in other countries. Their processing is also subject to their own privacy information and practices. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, including to meet applicable legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Enquiry and client records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Consent audit records are kept for up to 12 months as described above. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a message; Sender.net manages the subscription status, and a minimal suppression record may be retained to respect an unsubscribe request.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator.
- EEA and UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): all the rights above, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- Ghana (Data Protection Act, 2012, Act 843): rights of access, correction and objection, and the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Other regions: we honour the rights available under the law that applies to you.
To exercise a right, email us at sales@gadositsolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by law. To stop newsletters, use the unsubscribe link or contact us.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of marketing cookies. Because there is no common standard, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals otherwise.
11. Children
The Website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Our products and client data
When organisations use our software (such as ChurchSave, getHealthy, ShopHub POS or HR & Payroll) to manage their own members, patients, customers or employees, that organisation decides how the data is used and is the data controller, and we act as its processor. Please contact that organisation about your data. Our product websites, including churchsave.org, shophubpos.com and gethealthapp.gadositsolutions.com, may have their own privacy notices. Links on this Website to other sites are not covered by this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide an appropriate notice and obtain any consent required by law.
